- Powerhouse Pilates is a form of Pilates exercise that provides a fitness type of approach to your Pilates overall education.It was founded by Marci Clark and Christine Romani-Ruby.
- Peak Pilates is based more for the teacher then the student.It teaches you how to teach and not just what to teach.It concentrates on professional development and a deep understanding of the systematic approach to Pilates.
- Stott Pilates concentrates on breathing, personal conditioning as well as body awareness.It also teaches you how to safely and effectively to stretch, which is important for all Pilates routines.This is done on a mat using specialized equipment.You may have seen one of the many Pilates videos on YouTube utilizing the mat.
- Power Pilates is very similar to yoga.However, this type utilizes exercises to build muscles and the overall fitness of body and mind.Some equipment is used for different muscle stretching exercises.You also do not have to be as supple as you do with yoga with this type of Pilates.
- Yoga Pilates is a combination of Pilates and yoga.Pilates’ exercises are done at a restful pace while breathing slowly and deeply throughout the workout.The exercises can also be adjusted for different levels and flexibility.
